I must have been around 12, maybe 13 years old when I first saw a Psychobilly walking in town and MAN, was that guy intimidating with his huge purple quiff. It became a popular hairstyle in europe in the early 80s with early psychobilly acts, the meteors, demented are go and others.
Here is a more accurate definition: The Quiff also know as a Flat Top in Europe is a combination of the 50s style pompadour, the 50s style flat top and sometimes a mowhawk. The author obviously knows noting about psychobilly. who ever wrote the above definition probly listens to crap and has no clue what psychobilly is.
